Become a Volunteer!
Department volunteers respond to a variety of structural fire, wildland fire, vehicle collisions, and EMS calls within fire district #12. Volunteers meet weekly on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month from 1500-1700 hrs and on alternating Mondays from 1800 hrs to 2000 hrs (see the “Upcoming Events” page for a full schedule). Come join us! No experience necessary! The fire department is located on north end of town, on the west side of Hwy 142.

Current Burn Ban Information - Zone 2 Burn Ban ON NOW! June 1 - Sept. 30, 2022
The town of Klickitat and surrounding areas along Highway 142 are located within Klickitat County Burn Ban Zone 2 (including Turkey Hole and Icehouse camping areas, which are owned by WDFW and may have additional fire restrictions).
Per the County Burn Ban Resolution, the current burn ban prohibits “outdoor burning”, which they define as “combustion of any type in an open fire or open container.”
